This apparition is the soul of a greedy bounty hunter, recruited by Astaroth to act as his keeper. He is a muscled man but is very slow.

As the blade bounced off of The Mighty Ones skin the hunter yawned, still blocking the passage through. He scratched his back and ignored the travellors efforts.

Impossible! The blade never even cut the brutes skin, Deshar had put all of his strength into the attack and the keeper acted as if it hadn't even happened. Quickly Deshar leaped to the side, scanning the keepers form for a weak spot to strike. As soon as he saw one he struck again with his blade.
